Last weekend was grand. Glenn came to visit! It was his first visit to a Spanish speaking country and I think he enjoyed it. I had many, many things planned because there is so much to see and do here. We were unable to tackle all of the sightseeing I had on our agenda but we saw enough to create many nice memories. Que romantica!
I picked Glenn up at the airport Thursday night with my new friend Maximo. I had class that night that I could not miss so I gave Glenn a Spanish/English dictionary and sent him to dinner with Maximo (who by the way speaks very little English). They talked all night!!
Glenn and I went out after class with several people from the school so he could meet my comrades.

This is an amazing ciudad surrounded by towering mountains. A very special place with colorful markets and cobblestone streets. We escalated up the mountain to a temple for a nice view. We enjoyed our stay there even though it was a bit delayed because we did not get off the bus at the right stop and ended up in another town (I still do not know where we were) about 45 min. Out of the way. My Spanish skills came through and I was able to get us a return trip for free.
Saturday we headed back to the city and went to El Greco and walked around the city.
Sunday headed to Teotihucan http://www.teotihuacan.com/
All I can say is that this is my favorite place in Mexico. There was something in the air and it was not smog.
We also saw the tapestry of La virgin de Guadalupe. I will write more about this subject later.
I had a great weekend and I hope that Mexico left a good impression on Glenn!Tomorrow I am off to Brave del Valle to swim in the lake and hopefully do some mountainbiking.
Off the subject completely, I posted a pic for Hot Bawden of my new haircut. I specifically asked for something sexy that I would not have to style and I think he did alright. He told me that he understood that I was probably too busy to do my hair and I told him that I had plenty of time but was too lazy to want to do it. So he did what he could even though I was asking for a miracle.
